The strand was a bakery

Bruce at the museum showed me this picture of the strand. Before it
was the Orpheum it was a bakery. Did you know that?

Look closely at the photo. It appears as though the bakery was upstairs. I am almost 100% sure the bottom part was always a theater of some kind. It's how the building was constructed. But the top has been through many phases. Plus the bakery sign is on the right where the stairs lead up to the top. I'm just saying.

I don't know I am going to see what I can find, but the guys said it was a bakery and then theater.

either way it's crazy how old the building is. That is a really cool picture.
