Very very sneaky

This morning Emma discovered that she could crawl under her crib. It's kitty corner so on the other side it's like a little cave. When I peaked at her to make sure that she wasn't getting into mischieve I discovered that, of course, she was. When she wakes up from her nap she sometimes will throw her paci out of her crib, appearantly she had done this earlier and when I saw her she was secretly sucking on it (she only gets her paci when she is going to sleep).

You must be thinking what a terrible picture its just black. Well this was just for affect I wanted you to see what I see right now, its 12:30am and I cant sleep. I have been laying in bed for about 2 hours now trying to fall asleep but just thinking of all that has to be done this week before we can be ready to have our first service at the Strand. I guess that is just the way a womans mind works, as Coy has been asleep since his head hit the pillow (he did wake up @ 3:45 to work at starbucks and I love him for that). Its been fun and I cant wait to see what God does with us here and how many people He brings to our first service, but I also want to make sure that all I am responsible for is taken care of. Well I feel better having vented I think now I will try and count some sheep. Who even came up with that saying and why sheep? I'll be thinking of that for the next 2 hours.
DISCLAIMER....I am not responsible for anything I just said, its way to late to be blogging.

Merry Christmas

We had such a good first Christmas in MT we missed all our family of course, but enjoyed having our own little family time. Last year Emma was only 2 weeks old for Christmas and she didn't do much, but this year she was actually able to participate. She is pretty good at opening presents and when she really likes the gift she makes a noise that sounds like she is hyper ventilating, its really cute. Her dad stuffed her stocking with little rubber duckies, she was so excited she later carried one in her mouth and the others in her hands.

Emma's first Pedicure

Since the first week Emma was born I wanted to polish her nails, the girls (Jennie and Alaina) were over and we all gave ourselves manicures so I figured this was the perfect time for me to polish her toes. She did so good she sat pretty still, although she wanted to touch them the whole time they didn't get ruined. I polished them a bright pretty pink, that no one can see because it is too cold to not have shoes and socks on. I can't wait for the summer when she can display her pretty polished toes.

My birthday present!

Lately I have been into sewing, technically all I have made is two purses that involved almost no sewing, but still. So I was borrowing Alaina's and I realized I just need my own, So that was my birthday wish and I got it thanks to my family. I can't wait to make amazing creations.

My new favorite thing

Since we have gotten home from Abq Emma has picked up two different hobbies. One is hiding behind the curtains and laughing when you find her (it is very cute), her other favorite thing to do is to lay down in different parts of the house and roll over back and forth, or she will just lay there and play with whatever toy she has. Usually it is because she has fallen so sometimes it is in very random places, like on the rug in front of the stove just like a little puppy. Every time it is just as funny as the first time, she entertains me all day.

Emma's First Merry go round

Ginger bread house

This is the ginger bread house my mom, sister in law, and I made. We competed against my aunt and cousins, and had everyone at Emma's party voted for which one was the best. The prize for the winners was only bragging rights but that was all we wanted. They all turned out great, one was little but very cute and detailed, the other was around the size of ours but it was a barn. this one is ours and we won. It took so much work by the time we were all done we didn't care about bragging anymore, they cost too much and took too much time. Still we had fun and I think they were all beautiful. I don't want to make another one right now but Maybe by next year it will sound like fun again.

I can climb

Oh no, just when we thought having a baby that walks was crazy enough Emma decides that she is going to start climbing on things. She is just so ambitious and wants to try everything, I guess thats a good thing. First she got on her toy zebra all by herself and we thought, "that was awesome, she is such a big girl!" Then, today it was a small green table in the children's ministry room, the table is an inch or two taller than the chair she is on. That is when I realized, my life is going to get a lot harder and more stressful, but I guess it is true your children pay you back for what you did to your parents. I started crawling out of my crib when I was around six months, and Coy climbed over a huge chain link fence when he was only two. I think were in trouble!
